Web design for business book authors

Websites for business book authors, built by someone who has actually read the book.

Your book already holds the brand, the message and the offer. I read it cover to cover, then design the identity, write the pages and build the site around what it says. Most web designers will not do that content work. It is the part that makes the site worth having.

The usual problem

Author websites fall flat when the site and the book never meet.

A business book is a finished piece of thinking. The website is where readers decide whether to go further with you. Too often the two are made by different people who never compared notes.

01

The designer never read the book

So the site borrows generic phrases and the ideas you spent years refining never make it onto the page. Readers who loved the book land on a site that could belong to anyone.

02

The author is left writing the pages

You have already written sixty thousand words. Being handed a blank template and asked for "the copy" is where most author website projects stall for months.

03

The site and the cover look like strangers

A palette, a typeface and a voice already exist in the book. The site should carry them forward so a reader recognises you instantly, not compete with them.

What's included

Everything the book needs online, from one person who has read it.

A complete service rather than a design file handed over for someone else to fill. You review and approve at each stage. You do not have to write anything from scratch.

1

Reading and mapping

I read the whole book and map its frameworks, chapter themes and recurring language into a site plan. This is where the site's structure comes from.

2

Brand identity

If you already have brand assets, a logo, a palette or brand guidelines, they are used as the foundation. If not, a palette, type pairing and visual motifs are drawn from the cover and the ideas inside it, so the site and the book clearly belong together.

3

Page copy

Every page written from the book in your voice, then edited with you. Home, about, the approach, the book, programmes and contact, with endorsements placed where they do the most work.

4

Design and build

Built on GoHighLevel (GHL) or ClickFunnels when you want booking, email and funnels in one place, or hand-coded when you want a fast, simple site you never have to think about.

5

Programmes and booking

Offer pages, pricing, calendars and enquiry forms wired up so a reader who finishes your book can become a client without emailing you first.

6

Video and social assets

YouTube channel art, thumbnails and intro graphics that match the site, ready for the talks and interviews that follow a book launch.

7

Launch and handover

Domain, go-live checks and a recorded walkthrough of how the site works, where enquiries and bookings arrive and how to send over changes.

8

Ongoing care

Optional monthly support for updates, new programme pages and the next book, so the site keeps pace with the business.

Investment

Projects start from €5,000

Every project is quoted as a fixed price after the first call, once the number of pages, programmes and assets is clear. The proposal sets out an agreed number of revision rounds, so you know exactly what is covered. Payment is split across the four stages and there are no hourly surprises.

  • Domain and hosting fees are separate and are paid directly to the provider
  • Monthly maintenance is optional and quoted separately
  • If you already have a GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels account, the site is built on yours
  • If you do not, the monthly subscription for that software is quoted alongside the project fee
  • Site access is tied to the payment schedule. If payments stop, work pauses and the site goes offline until the account is settled

Featured project

The Slow Coach Approach, by Judy Barber

Judy spent twenty years coaching leaders and distilled it into nine approaches to good-hearted leadership. Her site needed to carry the calm of the book and turn readers into coaching clients.

  • Read the book and mapped its nine approaches into the site structure
  • Brand identity built from the cover: red, gold, cream and a nine-point star motif
  • Six pages of copy written from the book, in Judy's voice
  • Two coaching programmes with booking, built on GoHighLevel
  • YouTube channel assets to match the site

The same approach applied outside publishing: read the subject deeply, then design, write and build from it.

Your book could be here

The studio takes on a small number of author projects at a time so each book gets a proper read. If yours is out, or on its way, let's talk about what the site should do.

How it works

Four stages from first call to launch.

Clear checkpoints, nothing to write from scratch and a site that is ready before the launch date rather than after it.

Stage one

Read

We talk about the book, the readers and what you want the site to do. Then I read the book properly and come back with a site map and a brand direction.

Stage two

Shape

Brand identity and page copy, built on your existing brand assets where you have them and drafted from the book where you do not, then refined with you. You approve the words before any page is built.

Stage three

Build

Design and build of every page, with programmes, booking, forms and email connected. Video and social assets are produced alongside.

Stage four

Launch

Domain, go-live checks and a recorded handover. You leave knowing how the site works and how to get changes made.

About the studio

A one-person studio in Ireland for authors who want the website to match the book.

Monarch Ireland is a one-person studio. I have spent years building digital systems and websites for small companies, and I read business books for pleasure. Author websites are where the two meet.

The idea is simple. A business book is the clearest statement of what you think and how you work. A website built by someone who has read it will always say more than one built from a questionnaire.

So I read first. Then I design the identity, write the pages, build the site and produce the video assets, with you reviewing at every stage. One person, one point of contact and one consistent voice from the first page to the last.

Projects are taken on a few at a time. That keeps the reading honest and the timelines realistic.

Who it's for

Coaches, consultants, speakers and advisors with a business book.

The book is out and the site is a placeholder

Readers are searching for you now. A proper site turns that attention into enquiries, bookings and sales.

The book launches in a few months

The site is ready before launch day, with the cover, the endorsements and the offer in place for the first wave of readers.

You run programmes or coaching

Offer pages, pricing and booking are built in so a reader can move from the last chapter to a first session.

You already have a brand

Existing logos, colours, fonts and brand guidelines are always used. The site is built to match the book and the brand exactly, so the cover, the website and the social channels read as one.

Questions

Things authors usually ask first.

Do you really read the whole book?
Yes, cover to cover, with notes. The site map, the brand direction and the page copy all come out of that reading. It is the part of the process that cannot be skipped.
I already have a logo and brand colours. Will you use them?
Yes, always. Existing brand assets, whether a logo, a palette, fonts or full brand guidelines from a designer or publisher, are the starting point. The brand identity stage then fills any gaps and carries the brand through to the site, the programme pages and the video assets. Nothing you have paid for is redone for the sake of it.
Which platform do you build on?
GoHighLevel (GHL) when you want booking calendars, email, funnels and a client pipeline in one place, which suits most coaches and consultants. ClickFunnels if that is where your business already lives. A hand-coded site when you want something fast and simple with very little to maintain. We decide together on the first call.
What if the book is not finished yet?
A near-final manuscript is enough to start. Many authors want the site ready for launch day, so starting three to four months out works well.
How long does a project take?
Most author sites take six to ten weeks from the first call to launch, depending on the number of pages and how quickly feedback comes back. A firm timeline is agreed before work begins.
What does it cost?
Projects start from €5,000. Every project is quoted as a fixed price after the first call, once the number of pages, programmes and assets is clear. The proposal includes an agreed number of revision rounds. Revisions are not unlimited, which keeps the timeline honest for both of us. There are no hourly surprises and payment is split across the four stages. Site access is tied to that schedule: if payments stop, work pauses and the site goes offline until the account is settled.
What is not included in the project fee?
Domain registration and hosting are paid directly to the provider. Monthly maintenance is optional and quoted separately. If you already have a GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels account, the site is built on yours. If you do not, the monthly subscription for that software is quoted alongside the project fee so there are no surprises later.
Can I update the site myself afterwards?
Ongoing paid monthly maintenance is available for updates such as new testimonials, programme dates, prices and new pages. Send the change over and it is handled for you, so the site stays consistent and nothing breaks. Handover includes a recorded walkthrough of how the site works and where enquiries and bookings arrive.
Do you work with authors outside Ireland?
Yes. The studio is based in Ireland and works remotely with authors across Ireland, the UK and further afield. Everything from the first call to the handover runs over video.
